Clean Streets Program™ The 15thWard Clean Streets Program is a neighborhood clean up initiative with the simple goal of ‘contributing to making our community as beautiful as possible’. The program began in June 2010 after Group 15 volunteers were asked to participate in a clean up program with the Chicago Defender & the Truth 4 Literacy Foundation. After a successful completion of the program, Group 15 decided to continue this effort in the15th Ward in continuing duty of keeping our neighborhood clean. By gathering together as neighbors & volunteers, we have had success with removing broken bottles, potato chip bags, etc. from various blocks across the 15th Ward in an attempt to make the area safer for children and a deterrent for negative activity. In our pursuit of developing safer and stronger community ties, Group 15 will also offer volunteer services during the winter season. For further information regarding our services contact Michael Finney @ 773.599.CITY (2489). |

3rd Annual Clothes Drive In the past we have been fortunate enough to receive the generosity of those who have contributed to Group 15 collecting and distributing over 5,000 items of clothing locally and abroad. We are again in the process of collecting clothes on a monthly basis to continue our effort of helping those in our neighborhood and abroad. If you would like to donate items, please contact us for pick up/delivery. Thank you for all of your help. 773.599.CITY (2489) or group15news@gmail.com ![]() Service Learning hours
It is a must that we stress the importance of community service to our children and relate that service to the bigger picture, which is the stability of the community in which we live and work. Group 15 is a partner with the community in exposing students to the experience of this duty by offering Service Learning Hours for their participation in the 15th Ward Clean Streets Program. Service Learning Hours are now required upon graduating and this is a fun and responsible way for students to contribute their time. You can contact Michael Finney for more information. |
